About

Picture
Honey Hill School was established in 2020 after its creator left her previous classroom with the goal in mind to partner with families to raise resilient and strong learners in her own home. Honey Hill School provides a classroom setting in a homey atmosphere to children as they grow into lifelong learners and contributors to their communities. They do this through play, art, gardening, investigations and strong bonds with one another.

Educators

Lindsey Gabriel,
Lead Educator & Licensee

Lindsey holds a BA in Early Childhood Education, taught in a Head Start classroom for five years and another local family child care for six before creating Honey Hill School. Lindsey loves building strong bonds with her families that last years and she enjoys documenting the growth of children over time to see just how far they come!

When she is not teaching, she can be found reading, scrapbooking or planning her next trip to Disneyland.

Cooper,
The Boss

Cooper inspires children to be gentle, compassionate and confident in how they communicate with other living beings. He has been Lindsey's best friend since 2009.

When he is not sneaking kisses from toddler fingers or toes, he can be found napping in the sunshine on the couch, or he can be heard attacking his toys upstairs. Recently he has taken to laying directly on top of our growing carrots and strawberry plants in the children's garden...

Our Mascot and its Creator

Picture

Kiki Bee, the Honey Hill School Bumble Bee

Picture
K drew numerous bumble bees for her school in 2021 and when she was satisfied with one, she helped create a linocut so we could have it forever. K was 4 at the time, and had many interests! Namely her black cat, Jiji. In honor of K's favorite movie, we have named her bumble bee and our school mascot, "Kiki Bee."

The young artist would like her fans and followers to know that in her free time she enjoys playing with Ali and Dusty and cuddling her dog, Reptar. Additionally, digging in the dirt and playing outside are important hobbies of her's.
